This requires a well designed, rigid construction of the measurement system built to manage narrow tolerances in extreme environmental conditions. GMS is a measurement system developed to work in harsh workshop environment maintaining full accuracy of the measurement results. |

MSE:s new developed measurement system for measuring of thickness and width while manufacturing wide products at steel- and process industry. The system consists of a gantry granite frame construction on which a number of carriages are mounted. The carriages are driven for travelling motion by a servo motor. On the carriages the laser sensors are mounted. The sensors continuously measure the distance to the product passing through. The sensors are calibrated by an automatic sequence. |

The computer system communicates with the host computer to transfer production data and get in return measurement result for each batch produced. Documentation of the batches produced will be stored in digital form. The data my easily be enclosed in selectable format according to customer request. Properties
